Sewing for life
This class is suited to both beginner and intermediate level sewers. In this course you will learn to make trendy clothes and the techniques of top designers. You will learn to fit and adjust commercial patterns to size so that garments look professionally made. You will learn:
- Sewing machine familiarity, maintenance and safety
- Sewing basics, seams, darts, measuring, hems and more
- Buttonhole placement
- Understanding and fitting patterns

Administration skills
This introduction to administration skills is designed to build familiarity and confidence for learners aiming to pursue work in an administration or office environment.
This course is ideal for anyone wishing to update their business administration skills or change career direction. It has been designed to provide the skills and knowledge to work in a variety of administrative roles, such as reception and clerical roles.
Course content will cover five Microsoft Office programs, office technology, managing information including social media, administration skills, resume writing and interview skills. The course will also cover building effective and professional oral and written communications skills, and working as part of a team. Additionally, general administrative tasks such as minute-taking, handling petty cash, and using office equipment such as photocopiers, faxes and printers will also be covered.

Literacy and numeracy for the building and construction industry
This pre-accredited course is intended as a basic introduction to the building and construction industries in Victoria, and is designed for learners who are looking to enter the building and construction industry for employment.
In order to enter the building and construction industry, learners must obtain a ‘White Card’. The course prepares learners to be successful in obtaining the White Card. The course develops the literacy, numeracy and employability skills these learners need to be successful in their job applications and then to successfully transition to employment at entry-level construction work such as labourers or pre-apprentices
in the building and construction industries including housing.
