Since 2012, Banksia Gardens Community Services has been proud to partner with the Tibetan Buddhist Society who established this program to support people in the local area.
These lunches take place fortnightly on a Sunday and are an opportunity for local residents to enjoy a nutritious meal in a welcoming and friendly environment and to make connections with volunteers and fellow residents. Approximately 60–80 people take part in this program on a regular basis.
The Society also organises an annual Christmas lunch in which, apart from enjoying a great festive meal, families take part in games and are presented with small gifts.
