Great Young Movers (GYM) brings parents and their children together in a safe, supported and stimulating environment. The program involves physical activity that is safe, fun, and educational for both child and parent.
During sessions children can explore a range of age-appropriate equipment that encourages different types of movement and play such as rolling, swinging, crawling, balancing and jumping while parents are on hand to guide, join in, or supervise depending on the activity. Sessions also involve singing and dancing where everyone can participate and learn about rhythm, language and numbers. Parents learning English find this particularly helpful and can practise with their children at home.
