Our community garden is a volunteer-run garden that provides community members with a friendly environment to grow plants, learn and improve their gardening knowledge and skills, and make new friends.
The garden is a productive fruit and vegetable garden, all the produce is made available to community members and groups that use our centre.
See a variety of different waste management systems in action, with worm farms, bokashi and in-ground composting all in use at our community garden.
New in the garden
We are excited to initiate our propagation system with a new greenhouse. This will provide plants for the community, our food forest program, BGCS and Banksia Gardens Housing Estate Community Gardens.
Get involved
We welcome all ages and all abilities to get involved in our community garden.
Working in a community garden implies doing some physical work including managing organic waste, carrying heavy materials, planting, digging, use of tools and other equipment.
If you don’t feel comfortable with this, we might find other opportunities in the design stages, so please submit an expression of interest in this link:
