Study Group program is an award-winning homework club that has provided study support for children and young people in Greater Hume for over 16 years. Study Group provides a suite of activities to support the academic, social, physical and creative development of primary and secondary students outside of school hours.
Study Group supports children and young people aged 5 -18 living in the Banksia Gardens Housing Estate situated adjacent to our Centre, and the general Broadmeadows area.
We run face-to-face study sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:45pm–5:30pm during school term. We also offer one-on-one online study-support over Zoom on Friday afternoons from 4:15pm–5:20pm.
In addition to academic support, we stimulate and inspire children through fun recreational and creative activities, and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for children, their parents and volunteers from diverse cultural backgrounds – many of whom are newly arrived in the area and need support to settle into the community.
