BGCS operations from 16 August, 2021

An update on the extended lockdown announced by the Premier (16 August)

Banksia Gardens Community Services will be closed to the public from 16 August, with just a couple of essential services operating during lockdown. Regular operations will resume in line with official guidelines, with the current lockdown scheduled to be lifted on 2 September.

Changes to Banksia operations from Monday 16 August:

  • As essential services, our Food Relief, Youth Justice and Project REAL programs will continue to run
  • We will have minimal staff onsite to deliver those services

Please keep up with basic public health measures:

  • If you are sick or showing any relevant covid symptoms, please go and get tested.
  • Use QR Code Check Ins at all locations (using the Services Victoria app, available for iPhone or Android)
  • Face masks worn indoors and outdoors
  • Hand sanitizer and handwashing
  • Physical distancing (no hugs or shaking hands)

New updates and exposure sites continue to be added, so please keep an eye on the Victorian Government COVID-19 website for updates.
