BGCS operations from July 28, 2021

An update on the announcement from the Premier regarding the easing of restrictions from July 28.

Banksia Gardens Community Services will be open to the public from 28 July, although some programs will only resume operations from the week of Monday 2 August to allow us to re-open in line with official guidelines.

Changes to Banksia operations from Wednesday 28 July:

  • As essential services, our Food Relief, Youth Justice and Project REAL programs will continue to run
  • The Gateway School will resume operations onsite

Changes to Banksia operations from Monday 2 August:

  • Other programs that moved online will start to operate again, but possibly with limited capacity because of the public health requirements.

Please keep up with basic public health measures:

  • If you are sick or showing any relevant covid symptoms, please go and get tested.
  • Use QR Code Check Ins at all locations (using the Services Victoria app, available for iPhone or Android)
  • Face masks worn indoors and outdoors
  • Hand sanitizer and handwashing
  • Physical distancing (no hugs or shaking hands)

New updates and exposure sites continue to be added, so please keep an eye on the Victorian Government COVID-19 website for updates.
