Volunteers play a huge role in the activities offered by Banksia Gardens Community Services. We couldn’t run our programs without their help, so we are always very happy to hear from anyone interested in becoming a volunteer in the following programs.

Banksia Gardens Study Group Bring the Gardens to the Valley Study Group Community Garden Care and Maintenance

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABanksia Gardens Regular Study Group

The volunteer will provide academic support to students who drop-in to the Study Group. Volunteers will work with regular tutors to support primary and secondary students with their studies. This program also involves a computer club and recreational component.

Bring the Gardens to the Valley Study Group

The volunteer will provide recreational and educational support to students with a disability at the Hume Valley School, Broadmeadows. Volunteers will work beside regular tutors to support the students.

The volunteer will participate in the design and maintenance of the community garden located at Banksia Gardens Community Centre. Volunteers will collaborate to decide on a garden plans and tasks and will be responsible for the care of the garden and garden equipment.
