GPAN training 2023: applications now open!

Each year, the GPAN Project offers a FREE six-week training course to young people aged 16-28 years old.

GPAN training covers a range of topics including:

– introduction to gender inequality and gender-based violence
– respectful relationships
– challenging gender stereotypes
– intersectional feminism
– responding to disclosures
– bystander action
– dealing with backlash and influencing peers

We team up with a range of exceptional organisations that you will have the chance to speak with including Victoria Police, Berry Street, Northern Community Legal Centre, Women’s Health in the North and Community Stars.

GPAN training graduates are given the opportunity to join the GPAN Youth Action Group. The GPAN team meet fortnightly throughout the year as we work together to plan actions in the community and spread the message of gender equality and the prevention of violence against women and family violence.

In 2023, GPAN has a heap of exciting events planned and we want YOU to be part of the team that brings the project to life each year!
